The Philanthropy committee focuses solely on The Fashion Show’s philanthropic efforts. With the help of their committee, Philanthropy Directors focus on further educating the Ames community and campus about the meaning of philanthropy and work to expand the impact and reach of The Fashion Show’s philanthropic efforts.

This year the philanthropy team advanced its partnership with Hug Hats and Dress for Success and launched a new partnership with the The Pollinator Partnership. Hug Hats was a tremendous success as we were able to design a goal of 150+ unique hats with the help of volunteers across the entire TFS team.

The committee received an abundance of clothing donations from students and staff across the entire Ames community to host a thrift market event in support to raise monetary donations for Dress Success Des Moines. Lastly, Philanthropy partnered with Fashion Week to put on a seed planting and pot decorating event in support of The Pollinator Partnership.
