The Art committee is where you can let your creativity loose. As a member of the Art committee, you work closely with all other committees to fulfill art requests, but you work alongside the Social Media. The social media and art team collaborate to best express the visual theme of the show.
Art’s two biggest responsibilities in The Fashion Show are creating the yearly theme standards guide along with creating the program for the show. The yearly theme standards guide is also often known as a “style guide” and provides a list of guidelines that detail the do’s and don’ts of the visual theme. Besides playing a big role in the creation of the visual theme, Art handles all art requests within The Fashion Show. These art requests include social media posts, filters, flyers, posters, and other marketing materials, such as stickers and fashion show apparel.
Every year, students have opportunity to showcase student designs in the Iowa State University Fashion Show. It's one of the largest student-produced and promoted events in the nation with Producers, Directors, and Committee Members, totaling around 130 students!
